The 'Complete TyrA sequences' curated and available below consist of entire reading frames that include any fusions or N-terminal or C-terminal extensions. The majority of all proteins consist of more than one domain, these being referred to as "Supradomains" [Vogel et al. 2004] The minimal functional unit for TyrA is the 'Catalytic-core supradomain', which herein is subdivided into a short N-terminal 'Pyridine nucleotide discriminator segment' and a following 'Cyclohexadienyl-substrate core segment'.
